About Children’s Mental Health Week

What is Children's Mental Health Week?

Place2Be's Children's Mental Health Week is a mental health awareness week that launched in 2015 by Place2Be. The week exists to empower, equip and give a voice to all children and young people in the UK.

When is Children's Mental Health Week 2025?

Children's Mental Health Week 2025 will take place from 3-9 February 2025.

What is the theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2025?

The week’s focus is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself, with the aim to equip and empower children and young people across the UK to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them.

This year we're partnering with Here4You, supported by The Walt Disney Company and the Inside Out 2 characters to explore our theme Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.

Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 is joining forces with Here4You to explore the importance of self-awareness and expressing emotions.

Here4You is supported by The Walt Disney Company, and through the characters of Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2, the resources encourage children and young people across the UK to discover how getting to know who they are can help them build resilience, grow and develop.

Throughout our resources and website, you might spot some of your favourite Inside Out 2 characters, helping us explore our theme of Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.

The theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2025 is 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself'

An orange graphic with yellow and turquoise overlay. Yellow text reading Know Yourself, Grow Yourself is in the centre of the page. Six happy children wearing various costumes also appear on the graphic. We want Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 to encourage children, young people and adults to grow and develop by embracing and building self-awareness.

Know Yourself, Grow Yourself will put a spotlight on how we can build resilience, grow and develop by understanding who we are and what makes us tick.

The more we understand about ourselves, the better we're prepared to tackle life's ups and downs. Our in-school counsellors help children and young people in the UK cope with some of the most challenging times in their lives. By helping them get to understand and accept themselves, they start to build self-awareness. This allows them to develop the skills they need to cope with what life throws at them.

During Children’s Mental Health Week we want to celebrate children and young people building resilience, embracing self-awareness and forming strong connections with others.
